Morala Frizz Defying Shampoo - ingredients

AQUA - Good old water, aka H2O. It’s mainly a solvent for ingredients that do not like to dissolve in oils but rather in water.

SODIUM LAUROYL METHYL ISETHIONATE - Partially derived from coconuts, this mild and water-soluble anionic surfactant helps give our shampoo it's nice luxurious foam.

COCO-GLUCOSIDE - A natural surfactant made from coconut oil and glucose. It effectively eliminates dirt, oil, and styling products while preserving the natural moisture balance of the hair. A great ingredient for those with sensitive scalps.

COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE - An organic compound derived from coconut oil which acts as a cleanser, an emulsifying, foaming and thickening agent, but primarily as a surfactant. Surfactants are ingredients that attract dirt and oil so that you can rinse them off your hair.

SODIUM LAUROYL SARCOSINATE - A gentle cleansing and foaming agent partially derived from coconuts. It attracts excess oil and dirt and then emulsifies it, which allows the grime to easily rinse away with water.

GLYCERIN - It attracts water molecules from the environment and locks them into your hair strands. Even on the driest of days, the glycerin in all of our products will help keep your hair hydrated, preventing it from becoming dull, brittle, and prone to breakage.

PARFUM - Our fragrance is a blend of natural essential oils and synthetic fragrance. The synthetic part helps to remove the risk of any negative reaction as essential oils can be surprisingly harsh. It is also subject to IFRA (International Fragrance Association) guidelines which means the ingredients don't pose a risk for allergens or toxicity.

BENZYL ALCOHOL - A gentle preservative that has no impact on the texture or feel of your hair, it's simply there to help the product last longer.

HYDROXYPROPYL GUAR HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE - It is cationic (positively charged) and works by neutralizing the negative charges on hair strands that cause static and tangling.

CITRIC ACID - A 100% natural ingredient found in citrus fruits. It is used to regulate the pH of the formula.

PANTHENOL - Aka Vitamin B5, an amazing humectant which binds and holds water molecules. This superpower results in more elasticity, hydration and moisture given to the hair and scalp.

SODIUM BENZOATE - A preservative to stop the development of germs and fungi.

LIMONENE - We include this citrus based ingredient thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which are great for both your scalp and hair cuticles, but also for it's scent.

TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE - Works as a stabiliser to prevent the natural discolouration of the shampoo. Also acts as a chelating agent and is used to enhance and preserve the formulation’s ingredients.

DEHYDROACETIC ACID - Prevents the shampoo from deteriorating and becoming contaminated by preventing the growth and reproduction of microorganisms.

HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN - Plant-based protein that makes hair less prone to breakage while also adding volume and texture. Hair is left feeling soft and silky.

HYDROLYZED SOY PROTEIN - Plant-based protein that makes hair less prone to breakage while also adding volume and texture thanks to its conditioning properties that are beneficial for hair and also for skin.

HYDROLYZED CORN PROTEIN - Plant-based protein hydrolyzed into smaller fragments to optimise its benefits. It’s primarily composed of amino acids, peptides, and proteins and is extremely beneficial for damaged hair. It improves the traction properties of the hair fibres, particularly when being dried, helping to maintain the hair's elasticity by controlling its loss of humidity; this prevents the hair from breaking.

COUMARIN - A naturally occurring fragrance ingredient.

LINALOOL - A naturally occurring fragrance ingredient.

PHENOXYETHANOL - Phenoxyethanol helps to prevent fungi, bacteria, and yeast from growing in the product. This gives all of your Morala products a longer shelf life and ensures safety.
